Notice of Race

1. RULES: This regatta shall be governed by the rules as defined in Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the Sailing Instructions and this Notice of Race.

2. ENTRY: Entry is open to all yachts meeting MMBA’s requirements. Entries may be submitted using the attached Regatta Application form, Vessel Information Sheet and EYC Berthing and Reservation forms. Alternatively, you may enter online.

3. ENTRY FEE: Entry fee for all yachts is $120.00 if paid on or before May 10th. Entry fee for yachts entering after May 10th will be $150.00

4. HANDICAP: Yachts will be rated using the MMBA handicapping system.

5. ADVERTISING: Yachts may be required to display advertising as provided by the Organizing Authority (MMBA and SYC). Yachts are allowed to display additional advertising as provided by the yacht’s sponsor.

6. COURSES: Courses will be bay courses beginning on the San Francisco city front and ending on the east side of Treasure Island, using a combination of fixed buoys and inflatable drop marks.

7. START TIME: First warning signal for the first division will be at: 11:50

8. NUMBER OF RACES & SCORING: There will be one (1) race for each division. The low point scoring system, RRS 26 will be used.

9. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: Sailing Instructions will be available online no later than May 19, 2023.

10. PRIZES: Prizes will be awarded to the first thru third of each division.

After race festivities include awards ceremony, dinner, drinks and dancing with a live band at the Encinal YC. If planning to attend, please complete and return the EYC berthing/RSVP form.
