You must be a current, paid member of The San Francisco Bay Master Mariners to register for the Regatta. If needed, you can renew your membership along with this registration.

The Master Mariners Regatta is our signature annual event, held each Memorial Day weekend. In 2025, the Regatta will take place on Saturday, May 24. Typically featuring 80 to 100 classic wooden sailing vessels across more than a dozen classes, the race begins off the St. Francis Yacht Club and concludes near Clipper Cove behind Treasure Island. A parade-class course is also available for those who prefer not to compete.

At the beginning of May, a Regatta Race Packet will be available, containing Sailing Instructions as well as Encinal Yacht Club berthing and dinner reservation information.

Many participating boats fly a sponsor’s house flag, presented at the Skippers and Sponsors Luncheon on Friday, May 16. Following the race on May 24, please join us at 5:00 PM for the Regatta Awards Ceremony and Celebration at the Encinal Yacht Club in Alameda. Enjoy dinner, live music, and our awards presentation honoring the day’s achievements. Most boats stay overnight, sailing home the next day—Sunday, May 25—after a potluck breakfast.
